APAN, Hgo.- (Enero18, 2008) Una mujer embarazada falleció a causa de la falta de control prenatal.
Los familiares de la hoy occisa inculpan al Hospital del Altiplano por el deceso.
Sin embargo, el jefe sanitario jurisdiccional de la región Apan, Manuel Solís Bonilla, echó por tierra las acusaciones, señalando la falta de monitoreo en el embarazo como la causa de la muerte.
En tanto, familiares de la víctima señalaron que fue la falta de atención médica en el Hospital del Altiplano, ubicado en esta cabecera municipal, lo que generó el fallecimiento de la joven y el producto que llevaba en su vientre.
El miércoles, cuando la humilde familia velaba el cuerpo de la joven mujer en su casa, representantes del departamento de sanidad regional acudieron a entrevistarse con los familiares a fin de esclarecer los hechos.
El funcionario sanitario informó que “durante el sepelio pudimos investigar muchas cosas”, dijo.
Manuel Solís explicó que “lamentablemente el producto ya estaba obitado (muerto)”.
Agregó que “al estar un producto muerto dentro del vientre de la madre crea infecciones”, lo que desencadenó un cuadro infeccioso grave.
Solís Bonilla detalló que cuando la muchacha acudió al Hospital del Altiplano a recibir atención médica, se detectó el cuadro crítico. Debido a que en este hospital no se cuenta con el material y equipo necesarios, se ordeno su traslado al Hospital General de Pachuca. Sin embargo, debido a su avanzado estado infeccioso, la mujer falleció, enfatizó el jefe sanitario.
“Desafortunadamente, al no tener un control prenatal, se presentan complicaciones que no se son identificadas y que, en muchas de las ocasiones, derivan en la defunción de las personas”, reiteró.
El jefe sanitario reveló que ya ha solicitado apoyo a la alcaldía de Apan para identificar a mujeres embarazadas y brindarles la información necesaria, a fin de erradicar estos casos tan lamentables.
Este caso es el primero del año en la zona del Altiplano, siendo que el año pasado hubo una defunción materna.
“Se calificaron dos, pero una la tomamos como indirecta porque cruzaba con un cuadro de leucemia”, puntualizó por último Manuel Solís.
